about

written May 18, 2013

inspired by Psalm 139

lyrics

You hem me in still, behind and before. Though I take the wings of the morning, you keep my shore. I live in the furthest reaches of the ocean, yet you wait for me. I'll meet you there, where the sun comes up in the morning, and we'll see what the night was hiding all along. And I fail to stay in simple graces while gently, as the sand beneath a wave, I am free, I am free. In our tiny heads, trying so hard to justify, but today is only feeling like tomorrow's yesterday. But I want to be contented enough to have nothing to say, yeah. I'll meet you there, where the sun comes up in the morning, and we'll see what the night was hiding all along. And I fail to stay in simple graces while gently, as the sand beneath a wave, I am free, I am free. Honestly, to travel on, my heart would be wrong. Why am I still searching for where I belong? If home is where my anchor remains, will you stay? Will you wait for me?
