I wrote "Anchor" as kind of an all-encompassing song. It's kind of about songwriting and performance, as well as depression, parenthood, sail boating, and priorities. It deals with a lot of themes of expression, materialized in a few minutes of hardcore spoken word. It's a song that can mean many different things to everyone who hears it, but it's a pretty unique little hoopla. Definitely weird. Not for the strong of spirit. Not a lot of folks have heard this and it's kind of a gem of lyrical expression that I hope you can enjoy in your own way. I might play it live one night. Maybe.

released August 15, 2012
